Where are you located?
We are based in Omokoroa and throughout the Western Bay of Plenty and Tauranga areas. We are proud locals, but also proud to offer our business accountant services nationwide.
Can you work with me if I’m not local?
As an established accounting firm, Tauranga is our key region, but we’re proud to offer our business accountant services nationwide. All of our packages are virtual, and we have clients all over New Zealand. With our streamlined process and regular check-ins, it’s perfect for business owners on the go.
Why do I need regular contact with my accountant vs once a year?
A great accountant should be your trusted business adviser. Regular contact with Clear Mind means we gain a deeper understanding of your business and ensure you are getting the most out of your business. We want your business to work for you not the other way around so the more we can understand how you operate the more we can help.
How hard is it to change from my existing accountant?
We make it simple. Once we have agreed on a plan that is right for you, we send you one link to complete our T&Cs and all the authorisations we need to make life simple for you. We then contact your existing accountant for you and organise getting the info we need. You won’t need to contact them at all if you don’t want to. We can take care of the lot.
Do I need to buy expensive software?
Not at all. Your subscription to award winning Xero software is included in all of our packages. This software is based in the cloud so you can access it anywhere, anytime from any device with a web browser. Check out more on Xero here.
Do I have to use Xero?
What is your Covid Policy?
Behind the scenes we have completed a full workplace health & safety assessment. The outcome of this is that our staff are only be able to meet in person with people with a current Vax Pass, or exemption.
Pricing and Services
Why does your pricing say ‘From’?
There’s no one-size-fits-all. We tailor all of our packages to match what you need, and only what you need. The amount of work on our end can change quite a lot depending on lots of things, like how big your business is, and how it is structured.
Do you charge me when I call to ask a question?
Never. We are here for you, as your partner, so please call us whenever you need to. If your question requires some extra work, we’ll be sure to let you know and agree on a plan and cost up-front.
How do monthly fees work?
All our monthly packages are paid by direct debit at the start of each month to make it as easy for you as possible. With no hidden costs, a simple set-and-forget payment plan will give you the peace of mind that your accounting is well and truly taken care of.
What do your extra services cost?
We have a huge range of other services on offer. Unlike most other accountants, we don’t charge by the hour. Instead, before we start, we chat with you about what you need, and agree on a fee upfront. That way there are no surprises, and you always know exactly how much something will cost.
Do you do payroll?
Yes we do, we will work with you to implement a smart and easy to use payroll solution. From there we can either take care of your payroll for you, or set you up with the tools and knowledge to do it yourself.
